My family and I enjoyed staying in Val and George's very comfortable, modern house on the Isle of Portland.. Val and George went out of their way to organise everything at short notice as we were attending a family funeral. It made the sad event so much easier and being able to spend time seeing family and friends locally made a huge difference. Our family know Portland very well but we still never tire of going there, exploring the coves, the Sculpture-Park and the lighthouse, with fish and chips from Godfathers in Weston. Their house is situated in what must be one of the best spots on Portland with magnificent views of the ever changing landscape of Chesil Beach, a short walk down the coastal path.

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful town of Frome and in the lovely home of George and Val. The house was spacious and so very charming and the garden was so nice to spend the evenings in. We had a frequent communication with George and Val all through the holiday and that adds a nice friendship layer on the exchange. The neighbours were very friendly and hospitable and helped out with travel tips and getting our sons drone out of the bushes. We exchanged cars which let us explore a lot, for example Cheddar Gorge and Wells, Bristol and Stonehenge. Forever grateful to George and Val for taking care of our wounded cat during their stay in our home.

George ans Val are lovely person with a lovely house that we warmly recommand. Plenty of goods things to do around the house
