The main attraction at the time we wish to do the house swap will be the Edinburgh Festival which is the single biggest celebration of arts and culture on the planet. Every August, for three weeks, the city of Edinburgh welcomes an explosion of creative energy from around the globe. From street entertainers to opera and ballet. Books, films, comedy. It's all covered and the city is simply buzzing with visitors! Even outside of festival time, Edinburgh is a major tourist city with major attractions including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palance and world class museums and art galleries.

Glasgow should not be ignored it has many wonderful attractions of its own.

Stirling is also a short train ride away and features a castle perhaps more dramatic that Edinburgh's along with the Wallace Monument.

Locally Falkirk also has the amazing Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel.
