We are an active retired couple, We enjoy walking and cycling in the beautiful scenery in Perthshire and beyond. Graham is a keen gardener and our large garden with wildflower areas and lots of grass is a great place for children to play in, and for adults to listen to the birds or relax on the patio

Notre maison
Description de notre maison d'échange
Our family home is light and spacious, in the country, near the Highlands and only 1 hr drive to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Beautiful tourist area so lots of family things to do. We have 8 grandchildren aged 6 months to 13 so both inside and out this is a child friendly home! Many lovely golf courses close by, including Gleneagles, 6 miles from here, venue for the 2014 Ryder cup. There are castles to visit, mountains to climb or easy walking routes to explore, lochs and rivers for fishing. Right in the centre of Scotland too, so nothing is very far away (Glen Coe, Loch Ness, the Grampians, etc.) 2 acre garden.

We live in the country 2.5 miles from a wee village, Muthill with a petrol station/village store, hotel and pizza/ice cream cafe. Crieff is 6 miles and Auchterarder is 4 miles - both offer a much wider selection of shops and eateries, playparks and a leisure centre with swimming pool and indoor sports facilities.

Within 30 mins drive, you can visit Auchengarrich Wildlife centre, Drummond Castle, The Black Watch Museum, Perth Leisure Centre, Comrie Croft, many parks and lovely walks by the River Earn, Kinnoull Hill and Comrie. Perth has a newly refurbished theatre and concert hall. Within an hours drive, you can visit Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument, Blair Dummond Safari Park, Scone Palace, the V&A museum in Dundee (opened Sept 2018), Verdant Works and many other castles and heritage sights. You're spoiled for choice for golf courses (we have clubs you can borrow), and the roads are quiet enough to cycle as long as you don't mind hills!
