Our home is situated in Doonfoot, a quiet area of Ayr overlooking Greenan Shore with beautiful views of the Isle of Arran. We are 5 minutes walk from the beach and the River Doon. This is also the famous poet Robert Burns birthplace and we have Burns cottage, museum and Brig-a-doon within walking distance. Our local attractions include Culzean Castle, Dumfries House, Ayr Farm park and ferry to Arran in Ardrossan. The Isle of Arran, Bute and other west coast islands are true gems and well worth a visit.
The west coast of Scotland has many excellent golf courses. Royal Troon, Trump Turnberry, Western Gailes, Prestwick and Dundonald Links are all very close to us.

Further afield, Glasgow is 35 miles away, a modern vibrant city with many cultural and historic attractions not to mention the best shopping in Scotland. Edinburgh is only 75 miles from us, Stirling, the Trossachs and Loch Lomond are all easily reached in 70 minutes. Dumfries and Galloway is also within reaching distance for a day trip.


Our house was built 1964 and has been recently refurbished it is spacious, comfortable and on two levels. On the ground floor we have a large open plan modern living, dining kitchen with doors to the garden. Cloakroom and utility area are located at the back of the house. We also have a separate spacious living room. The house has 4 bedrooms on the upper floor. Master bedroom with super king and en suite. Second bedroom has king bed with en-suite the other 2 rooms have king size beds and share the large family bathroom. The house can easily sleep 8 people. Cot, highchair and some toys are available ( our grand child comes to stay). Outside is a large garden with deck and plenty of play space. We are close to a very beautiful park, local shopping is close by and bus access to the town centre is available. Happy to car exchange.
