We had a successful house swap in the comfortable Victorian house in Aberdeen and in John and Margaret's cosy cottage in Lynebeg; Two homes for one swap, that was luxury! The town house is very conveniently located, with beautiful parks, interesting museums, busy shopping streets, lovely pubs, fine restaurants and the glistening granite buildings in sunny weather. The coastline is very varied with castle ruins, deserted beaches, fishing villages, the prison museum in Petershead, not to mention the various harbours. The holiday cottage charmed us, high inland and with sheep as the only neighbours around the property. It was the perfect place to go hiking, to climb the second highest mountain in Scotland, to visit the many distilleries, to dream away in beautiful gardens and to enjoy the wonderful nature! A wonderfull typical english house with a beautifull cottage We really enjoyed our stay in Aberdeen. The townhouse is very comfortable and conveniently located near downtown. But the highlight was the week in the cottage in the scottish highlands. The untouched nature is impressive. There are a lot of excursion destinations and the Whisky-trail almost leads past the cottage. Margarete and John were very nice and courteous exchange partners, the communication went smoothly.

We loved being in your holiday home,, what a super week we had. And an excellent way to finish our three week holiday in Scotland. The area around Tomnavoulin is beautiful. Thanks for being such excellent communicators and we look forward to meeting you in the future and sharing cycling tips!

We had a wonderful time in the Aberdeen house, which is beautifully furnished and kept. The location is very central, and Johan and Margaret were very welcoming hosts. We were also able to use their rural cottage, which was a true gem and a highlight of our Scottish visit. We would love an opportunity to come back again, and can only highly recommend a swap with them.
