We are very grateful to Richard and Carol for a very enjoyable and successful exchange. We chose Cheltenham initially because of its proximity to other places, providing the perfect location for us to us to be able to bring our family together. What we didn’t appreciate was what a lovely destination Cheltenham is in its own right - a really interesting and pretty town with the wonderful Cotswold countryside on your doorstep. All of this we really enjoyed. Richard and Carol’s house was wonderfully comfortable and so easy to feel at home in immediately. Many thanks indeed.

We had a lovely time in Richard and Carol's home in Cheltenham. Communication prior to the exchange was good - and a WhatsApp chat helped during the exchange. Their home is on a quiet street with a lovely garden that we enjoyed as much as the English summer would allow us :-) A few steps outside the front door a quiet path leads to the city centre and to a wonderful park. We enjoyed Cheltenham very much (it was our second visit) and also used it as a base for exploring further afield into Wales, Forest of Dean, Bristol and Oxford.

Nice and comfortable house/home, ideal to visit the town Cheltenham Spa, the Cotswolds, Bristol and Oxford. Sufficient info and tips. The old railway route is very practical to cycle to the town center and the supermarkets. The railway station is close, ideal for those who want to discover the count(r)y by train. The region around Cheltenham is not very well suited to cycle, as there are only cycle tracks in and in the nearest proximity of the town. The contacts with Richard and Carol were perfect. Richard and Carol’s house is very spacious, beautifully furnished, situated in a quiet street, very close to the station and a comfortable 20 minute stroll along a cycle lane to the town centre. They had sent us very clear instructions on how to turn off the alarm on arrival and had organised for us to be able to park in their street. There were simple instructions on how to use the kitchen appliances and plenty of leaflets on what to do in the area. We found it was an ideal base for visiting the Cotswolds and enjoyed our week there. Richard and Carol left our house very clean and tidy.

Richard & Carol live close to Cheltenham Spa station which was convenient for picking up our two daughters who joined us for this exchange. The house is in easy reach of the centre of Cheltenham and we made the most of doing plenty of walking. We enjoyed a couple of trips out of Cheltenham & would recommend walkswithhawks, which though expensive was a great way to spend a morning if you love birds of prey. The house had everything we needed and was great to come back to & relax in at the end of the day.
