We, Sander & Marleen live with our 3 children (10, 8 & 6 years old) in the beautiful and quiet little town of Hierden, 3 km from the lively Harderwijk with its harbour, the Veluwemeer (big lake), the great green woods and the old atmospheric and historical city center.
We love nature, enjoy walking with the family in the woods, along the water and in the mountains and hills of the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the Alps. We all enjoy sports too, from football, judo, horseback riding, golf, fishing, dancing, mountain biking and water sports.
Our house is open to everyone, someone can always eat with us. Our garden is very quiet and the hammock is often occupied :-)

Notre maison
Description de notre maison d'échange
A 150m2 Detached house. Connected to the most nicest neighbours you can get Cor&Mary. The house has a big livingroom with a fire place, with the kitchen connected. The Garden is with a small gardenhouse, our second livingroom, a great place to be, al lot of birds en quiet moments you will find here. 1 double bedroom with the greatest matresses from German quality, and 3 single (kids) bedrooms. There is a garage with bikes to use, for 3 adults and 3 kids bike to lent aswell. BBQ is in the garden. Kitchen is wel equiped, with Oven, Microwave, and inductie. 1 bathroom. 2 parking places on our own terrain, and more in the street across. The area is very laidback, and peacfull, 5min by bike to the lake, 5 min walk to the forests.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
Our neighbourhood is a very relaxed area. Close to the city of Harderwijk 3km with the old city centre, its harbour at the lake. In de middle of the Veluwe ( greenest area of the Netherlands) Amsterdam is 1 hour drive. Bigger citties like Zwolle, Amersfoort and Utrecht are all within 30 to 50 minutes by car, and also a good train connection.
Our town, Hierden, has a small supermarket, with a bakkery and butcher 2 min by bike.
if to take a walk or your bike ( you can use ours) within a couple of minutes, you are at the lake, the forest, or within the open fields to enjoy nature to your fullest. within a 5 minute walk you find the castle The Essenburgh. Lovely garden/park with good lunch en dinner options.
Nice places like, Elburg, Vierhouten, Kampen, Nijkerk, Apeldoorn are just arroung the corner, and easy to go to by car or by bike.

From our house you access directly the nature, when you walk out of our street you will be directly within the open farmers fields, if you take the bike, within 5 minutes you are near the lake, Veluwemeer.
When you take the other side, you will find yourself within 5minutes within the forest area, and a great castle, The Essenburgh.
within 3km you will find the City of Harderwijk, with its harbour, boulevard, great beaches and historic city centre.
Within a radius of 20km you will find it all! Nature to the max.
The big cities Amersfoort and Zwolle are about 40 minutes drive. 60 minutes it take you to go the Amsterdam

It would be nice if you want to fed our cat once or twice a day. She is outside most of the time and that's why she doesn't have a litterbox. She is always nice to others and loves to be petted.
No smoking and please take care of our home as if it's your own, so do we :)
