We are a couple in our sixties, a translator (Jacob) and a lawyer (Sophia). We like to travel and visit big cities in particular. We love New York and had some great swaps in Manhattan and Brooklyn and Boston. We especially like to explore the places we visit by bike.

Our house measures about 180 square meters or 2000 square feet, divided over three floors. It is located in an area of Amsterdam called Oud Zuid ('Old South'), which was built in the first decades of the 20th century and borders on the Vondelpark.

We live in a residential area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The beautiful and vibrant Vondelpark is just around the corner. Tramline 2, a few minutes walk from our house, will take you to the heart of the city in 10 minutes. All major museums are within easy walking distance. For cyclists there are over a thousand miles of bike routes in and around the city.

For 2020, we're looking for an exchange in Brooklyn or Manhattan, preferably of two or three weeks in the months of May, June or September. The exchanges in the US we did so far, usually with elderly couples (like ourselves), went smoothly and were very pleasant.
