The village and its surrounds are extremely picturesque and beautiful. As a family of five, we were a little apprehensive about the prospect of living together in a relatively small space; but our fears were soon allayed. Giulia and Paolo's apartment is very well appointed, pleasantly decorated, clean, warm, has good views; and is equipped with everything required to make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was a pleasure getting back there at the end of each day. It is near the center of the village with shops, bakeries, and ski-hire facilities very close by. St Vigilio is obviously very geared to Skiing during Winter with two slopes within easy walking distance from the apartment . There is also a fantastic cross-country ski trail. When not on the slopes, we also enjoyed lovely walks in and around the village - as well as trips to nearby historical towns. Something that made this exchange very pleasant was the pre-trip correspondence with Giulia and Paolo. By the time of the swap, we felt like we had known them for a long time. We would definitely recommend this as a destination
