Description de notre maison d'échange
The house, like most of the village is medieval, with many antique furnishings. It is in a quiet location on a hill above the village, three minutes from bakeries, bars and butchers and a small supermarket. There is an enormous terrace for entertaining, and a top floor balcony (up a lot of stairs!) with a splendid view.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
The village is situated in one of the lush agricultural valleys of the Quercy, where wheat, wine, all vegetables and fruit, walnuts, duck and goose products and sunflowers grow in profusion. The village is on a hill, dominated by the ruins of an 11th century castle whose tower can be visited in summer. Many services are available, including shops, and medical and dental centres; there are more in the nearest town, Cahors, twenty-five minutes' drive away, and in Toulouse, which is an hour and a quarter away by car, and half an hour away by train from Cahors.

Nos conseils pour des restaurants, cafés, shopping et activitiés à ne pas manquer
The village is very lively, with festivals, concerts, theatre and many other activities during the summer and autumn. It has a Sunday market which draws visitors from across the region. There are tennis and petanque courts, beautiful spots for swimming in nearby rivers and lakes, an abundance of walks, and bike hire. The village is on the historic Camino de Compostela. The area is full of historical attractions - including the famous Moissac cloister, the cathedral of Cahors, the picturesque shrine of Rocamadour and a host of early rural churches - and opportunities for fine as well as rustic dining.
Ce qu'on apprécie, ce qu'on apprécie moins… Voici nos préférences et nos règles de maison.
The House Book, to be found on the kitchen bench, is very comprehensive. It explains how everything works, what services are open at what hours, how to find the best attractions, shops and restaurants, how to clean, what to do in all sorts of emergencies, and many other things. It also says how we expect to find the house on our return. We would request that guests avoid putting mugs with hot drinks directly on to timber surfaces, and that they follow the displayed guidelines for using the washing machine.
