Rose Cottage is a lovely home on North Pender Island - a sought after destination in Canada's Southern Gulf Islands located between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia. Come by ferry or float plane as we are only 5 minutes from either dock. If you wish to extend your stay on the mainland we have another home near Vancouver. The Pender Islands are two islands joined by a bridge. They have an unique (in Canada) Mediterranean climate. If you love the outdoors then this is the place for you. Pender has many hiking/walking trails and 38 beach access points. Hike to a pristine lake for a swim ( the ocean is too cold for swimming) or rent a kayak for a guided or self-guided tour of the Gulf Islands National or Marine Parks. During the summer a pod of nearly 30 Orca whales frequently comes near shore. At Theives Bay you can watch from shore. If you like fishing charter a boat for world class salmon fishing. For golfers there is a great 9 hole course. There is also a Disc Golf Park
