Hi there! We had 7 excellent exchanges so far, mostly with California where Steve's family lives but also in the UK and recently in Brittany. Our house is spacious and is typically in the "Brussels style", with super-high ceilings and a nice big terrace (as well as a large garden). We do have a little parrot, Mango, who's a sweetheart but a little noisy (and nosy) , and we do have 2 other big parrots ( an Eclectus, Gaïa, and an Alba, Fidji). They are fun but you must not be afraid of them as they need to get out of their cage regularly and need a minimum of care. Our neighbourhood is very calm, is one of the nicest spot in Brussels and the bus stop across the street will take you to downtown and main shopping areas in minutes. If you feel like going out one night , 3 restaurants are just next door. And a supermarket is 100 m away. Our direct neighbour is a bakery so you'll awaken with the smell the croissants baking next-door ;-)
All of our guests were delighted so far. As the kids are getting older now (Kate is born in 2007 and Jack in 2009), we are pretty much open to any exchange around the world.
