We had a wonderful time on Bribie Island. Janet and Chris are very generous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Bribie Island is so peaceful. We were able to really re-charge our batteries. Having said that there is still lots to do. We enjoyed Australia Zoo and walking in the very picturesque Glass House Mountains. The Bird Park and Botanical Gardens in Maleny are excellent as is the Maleny Rainforest Reserve. Don't miss a visit to Redcliffe for the BeeGees walk. Caboolture, just a short drive over the bridge and down the road, has a train station with direct trains to Brisbane for anybody missing city life. Also a good historical museum in this town and the very interesting Abbey Museum. There is lots to do. We really enjoyed the beaches on Bribie Island and the birdlife. Some excellent walking too. Shopping Mall and restaurants all nearby. Bribie also has a very good little museum and arts center featuring local artists. Excellent weekend markets to visit selling various things. A big thank you to Janet and Chris for having us. We hope you enjoy Greece as much as we enjoyed Bribie Island. Everything was perfection.

We had a wonderful time on Bribie Island staying in the home of Chris and Janet. They are very generous hosts and we had good communication throughout our stay. Bribie Island has wonderful beaches outstanding sunsets and fantastic opportunities for water activities It has all the facilities we needed to make ourselves at home. Chris and Janet were so helpful when our own car loan arrangements fell threw. We loved all the different swimming opportunities and our extended Australian families were able to easily book accommodation on the island. A great family get together was enjoyed.

home exchange. Chris met us at their amazing home on Bribie Island, oriented us and from there we found ourselves in an oasis. We spent the week kayaking around the passage and riding bicycles all over the island. Our early morning and night time walks gave us opportunity to meet some locals and learn more about the island. What a magical stay on beautiful hidden Bribie Island! Janet and Chris' place was perfect for our family of four and so conveniently located, right on the water with a beautiful view. We loved discovering the island and had so much fun following Janet and Chris' advice on where to go and what to do. We had the chance to meet Janet and Chris for lunch one day on Bribie and it was lovely. Would definitely recommend this wonderful place and exchange!

We had an amazing time in this wonderful apartment. It´s great in style with a lot of amenities and perfect located to explore Brisbane and the Sunshine coast. Janet and Chris were very helpful and we felt like friends. Thank you so much for this wonderful time. Hope to swap again one day ;-) But first we are looking forward to see you in Germany!

Janet and Chris are really great people. They picked us up at the airport. The house was really convenient and close to the beach. It was clean and comfortable. Shops and restaurant are close by. We went to a beautiful butterfly garden in their town. And made a boat cruise in the area. There was a lot of tourist information in the house about the area. We really loved being in their lovely place.

We enjoyed staying in your wonderful holiday apartment. All the modern appliances and comforts of home made our stay most enjoyable. Bribie Island proved to be an unexpected delight in terms of the walk-ways, museums, beaches, parks and scenic drives. The locals were friendly and helpful especially at the book exchange and the op-shops - bargains galore! We highly recommend this Homelink exchange. Janet and Chris were wonderful guests and extremely helpful hosts who made our escape from a NZ winter memorable.

Bribie Island has all the normal facilities one needs as well as an excellent museum, cultural centre and botanic garden. The many beaches of golden sand can be accessed by walking, biking, kayaking (bikes and kayaks provided by Chris and Janet) or by driving their comfortable easy-to-drive car. The island offers great opportunities to see Australian birds, to sunbathe, go boating and fishing. The cruise up the inner passage enabled us to see rare dugongs. Visits to Brisbane are possible either by bus and train or by taking their car. Expeditions to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the Glass House Mountains, Lamington National Park, the Sunshine Coast and the Great Divide Range are worthwhile and easily made from Bribie. Chris and Janet’s helpful suggestions for excursions and places to eat and shop enabled us to gain a far better experience than we might have done if left to our own devices. We are grateful for their thoughtful preparation for our visit, well organized comfortable apartment and above all their generosity and friendliness.

Our time at Bribie Island was great. We love the place. It is very good for cycling, swimming and walking. We enjoyed the relaxed life there. People are very friendly. Our hosts were very helpful and it was our second time at their apartment, this time newly refurbished.
