Returned to live in NZ in March '22..after 34 years in Sydney. Still retired and living in Thames, Waikato.
Thoroughly enjoying being back in my home town and exploring the wonderful scenery and life in New Zealand.

This was so easy to get around used the buses
We have had two exchanges with ken one simultaneous and one non-simultaneous. Everything we needed was there. Close to shops and very clean and comfy.

Ken's home we found to be both comfortable and convenient. His neighbours were friendly and helpful. It is only five minutes walk to local shops and supermarket and two minutes walk to catch a bus to the major North shore suburb/centre of Chatswood (10 minutes) or Sydney city centre (20 minutes). The North shore beaches are just 20 minutes drive away. Ken left our home in Dublin clean and tidy and the exchange with him was friendly and pleasant. John and Christina Dublin

Description de notre maison d'échange

My townhouse at Forestville,although in the 'Northern Beaches' locality is not 'at the beach'..it is 8kms to the east of Dee Why and Curl Curl beaches,easy accessed by road and buses right at the door,and to the city,Chatswood and to Manly.
My townhouse is modern, bright, is up one flight of stairs and has an ..'over the roof tops to bush' outlook from the balcony and windows.
It is a two brdrm,two bthrm, open plan living although the second bdrm is fitted out as my computer room. I do have a single bed which can be set up in the second bdrm.
I love living in my place and enjoy the area I live in .I'm sure you will too.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours

I live in a Strata property of 19 townhouses,on a busy road but it is very quiet inside.The area is suburban but bushland with the ocean 8kms to the east.Our property is landscaped and is very clean and modern.
We have a fantastic local shopping strip called 'The Centre'..you can walk there to get milk while your tea is brewing ! with many eating places,pharmacy,butcher,take aways,Coles supermarket..it's all there !
The local buses-Forest Coachlines route 270 and 271,every quarter hr take you right into the city at the Queen Victoria Building-the 'QVB' and the same bus will bring you home right to the bus stop at the next door neighbours gate..no need at all to drive into the city.

All ocean surf and harbour beach activities,gardening,walking,bush walking-we are surrounded by the Garigal National Park so many tracks.Driving to Sydney localities and beyond.There are two large shopping centres-Chatswood and Warringah Mall-both have buses directly to them.Lots of cafes and eating places.
