Notre maison

Description de notre maison d'échange

Tressow Castle is a beautiful historic house in the countryside and our second home, where we spend our weekends. Tressow Castle is Thorsten´s passion and lifework. We live in one part of the ground floor and the first floor is equipped with holiday flats, so we are relatively flexible and can also exchange non-simultaneously, except in the main season when the castle is completely booked out.
The castle of Tressow offers four spacious, elegant suites on the first floor, each about 80-100 square meters. The apartments have been completely renovated in 2012 and are equipped with a convenient mix of antiques and period furniture, such as four-poster beds and stylish bathrooms. So you will always have the feeling of living in a castle.
For the apartments, there is a large shared breakfast balcony which is oriented to the east, and on three sides provides a view of the park and the surrounding countryside.
The interior of the building has been extensively renovated. The facade, which has survived the time of the GDR satisfactorily well, was restored only partially, which lovers of "Venetian charm" will not mind.
Exchanges cannot be offered for the main season, when the castle is completely booked out.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours

The village lies between the Klützer angle and Wismar, near the Baltic Sea. South of the "Lake Tressow" Tressow castle was built around 1863 in a late classical style. In the beautiful, hilly landscape with its tree-lined streets, the castle takes a prominent position. The historic property was until 1945 the summer residence of the "Count von der Schulenburg-Tressow". After many years of slumber, the property once again awakened to new life in 2012.
