We are two crazy travellers (with 2 kids travelling with us, older ones are at the university) originally from Belgium.
Expats, we are spending our lives mostly in the Middle East.
We are now in Casablanca Morocco.
We have 3 apartments : a 3 bedrooms duplex sea view in Oman (new construction), a 2 bedrooms in Westende (Belgium Coast) and a newly built 2 bedrooms duplex in Spain/Murcia (Mar De Pulpi).
Jürgen is a CEO in the energy sector & desalination plants. He is also a certified coach & mentor.
I (Vanessa) worked as consultant (contract manager, HR, event organizer for big internationals companies).
After a first dip 10 years ago, I jumped in the unknown pool of expatriation 7 years ago, leaving behind the job of my life to follow... the man of my life!
Since then I never stopped learning, having the privilege to be a full time mom while doing what I really love... helping people and animals.
I co created a Rescue Group for cats & dogs in the Sultanate of Oman and I'm co organizing charity missions to Yemen (for the Oman Charity Association).
Last but not least, we are obsessed with living a healthy life filled with love and happiness.

Description de notre maison d'échange
Construction of our apartment was completed in July 2021... so it's a 100% brand new and modern apartment that we are offering.
Perfectly located between sea and mountains, we have chosen for a duplex with large solarium on the roof (penthouse) equipped with lounge seats and a large terrace on the first floor to eat outside.
It's a 2 bedroom (4 persons) but an extra child/teenager can sleep in the sofa bed in the living room.
Mar de Pulpí is located in the province of Almería, a wonderful region with an excellent climate (most hours of sunshine per year in Europe and least rainfall).
Its most notable feature is the clear sky and the intensity of the light. The average annual temperature is 18.7 ° C, reaching over 30 ° C in the hottest summer months.
The apartment is located in the "Mar de Pulpí Pueblo Mediterráneo Residential Complex", a quiet place, offering spectacular natural surroundings (the biggest crystal cave inEurope is 3 km away!!). There is a large (heated or cooled) swimming pool for adults (with a special chair to help people with reduced mobility to enter the pool), a special pool for babies, jacuzzi, a kid's playground within secured perimeter offering slide, swing, etc.
The apartment is located within walking distance of Playa Los Nardos and Playa La Entrevista, on the Almería coast, close to the municipalities of Águilas and Vera. There is a special trail to walk/run/bike next to the beach... in 3 words : "nothing is missing".
All areas are surrounded by carefully maintained gardens.
Last but not least, there is a lift connecting the private, underground parking directly to our apartment.

Walking distance: Playa Los Nardos y Playa La Entrevista.
Multiples beach coves : everywhere along the coast.
Castle of San Juan de Los Terreros (5 minutes).
Geoda Gigante (3 km) : This geode is one of the largest documented crystal geodes in the world to date.
Aguilas (25 km) : Águilas is a delightful port city located on the Costa Cálida. A tradition of seafaring now combines with a wide range of tourist facilities, making the most of one of its main attractions, the extensive coastline.
Vera (26 km): a mix of charming and modern beaches, aquatic parc, surf and windsurf spots combined with historic sights and landmarks. Enjoy the naturist beaches and high level cuisine, featuring Michelin starred restaurants.
Mojacar (48 km) : Sun, mountains and sea are the basic elements of Mojácar´s horizon. Its landscape consists of the rugged peaks of Sierra Cabrera, with abundant sources of water, slopes, terraced farmland and the coast with its beaches and bays. Enjoy with our routes and trails in nature.
Garrucha (41 km) : Garrucha is a popular tourist destination due to its superb sandy beaches which draw tourists from all over Europe as well as Spain. Despite its growing popularity for tourism Garrucha remains a small resort which still retains its charm as a lively fishing port on the Costa de Almeria.
Cartagena (86 km) : A Roman amphitheater, Moorish castle, and the bombed-out ruins of a 13th-century cathedral are just some of the major sights in history-steeped Cartagena. Add in beaches, thrumming nightlife, and mountainous surrounds, and you have one of southern Spain’s most vibrant and varied cities.
Murcia (102 km) : plenty of paths to discover the natural areas, beaches, caves, nature reserves and parks in the Region of Murcia. The Region of Murcia invites you to indulge your curiosity exploring its cities helping you get to know the wealth and variety of our cultural heritage.
Almeria (114 km) : Founded by the caliph of Cordoba, this Andalucian city on Spain’s southeast coast is a reminder of the region’s Muslim history. The Alcazaba, a massive fort, dominates the city and affords amazing views. Also worth experiencing are the cathedral and the Almeria Museum.
Alicante (187 km) : From urban beaches to epic nightlife, Alicante offers a Mediterranean mix of action and relaxation. Add in a palm-lined esplanade snaking along the harbor and a Moorish castle looming above, and it’s one of the most dynamic spots on Spain’s sun-drenched Costa Blanca.
Sierra Nevada (208 km) : The 3,396-metre-tall Veleta is the Sierra Nevada’s second highest mountain and mainland Spain’s third. Summiting this iconic peak – which is visible from Granada city centre – is a relatively easy-going, two-hour walk from Hoya de la Mora, where you can also enjoy refreshments at the kiosk-bars after completing the four-hour return trek. Great for skiing in the winter too!
Granada (214 km) : The Alhambra citadel of Granada is one of the most famous buildings in Spain: a Moorish fortress with grand archways and delicate ornamental mosaics. Step backwards in time as you wind through the ascending cobblestone streets of Albayzin. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views from the Mirador San Nicolas.
