Description de notre maison d'échange
HomeLinkers annually since 2011. Our home Campus Stellae (Latin for Field of Stars),sits on eight acres in the Ponderosa pines of the Sangre de Christo foothills and is comprised of a main house and guest house designed by a well-known local artist. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out over a 270-degree view with the morning sunrise flowing into the master bedroom and the evening sunsets viewed from the large deck. We are located 10-15 minutes to the nearest shopping and restaurants and 15/20 minutes to the central Plaza downtown. The main house has a living room, two dining areas, a modern kitchen, master bedroom, a study, two bathrooms and a greenhouse with fresh flowers and an herb garden year-round. The guesthouse has a sitting area, complete kitchen, separate bedroom and full bath. Four adults can have complete privacy but come together for meals and socializing. We have filled the home with Southwestern and contemporary art in addition to items picked up on our world travels.

Description de notre quartier et ses alentours
We live in a gated mountain community with 39 homes set on an average lot size of six-plus acres each. Our mountain is covered with ancient Ponderosa pines with views of three different mountain ranges. You can hike out our front door into the Santa Fe National Forest with myriad trails of varying difficulty. Neighbors are helpful and friendly and enjoy entertaining our guests from abroad. The most enjoyable aspect for us is to live in a truly private and majestic setting but be within a 10/15 minute drive of great restaurants and shopping and within a 15/20 minute drive of Santa Fe's downtown plaza.

Nos conseils pour des restaurants, cafés, shopping et activitiés à ne pas manquer
Santa Fe is annually selected in the top five most desired destinations in the world in travel publications. It is tri-cultural - Native American, Hispanic and Anglo - with fairs and festivals celebrating all three cultures. It is renowned as the 3rd most celebrated art market in the nation with over 300 galleries; has world-class restaurants with well-known celebrity chefs; a year-long season of cultural events from open-air Opera (summer) to Indian (August) and Folk Art (July) markets, symphony, chamber music, ballet and Flamenco festivals (fall and winter), visits from celebrated artists, actors, writers and speakers - Lannan Foundation and the Lensic Performing Arts Center; and a climate that enables one to snow ski, hike, bike or relax on the 400-year-old village Plaza year-round.
Year round activity from skiing and snowshoeing in winter, white water rafting in summer, hiking in golden aspen groves in the fall or enjoying music on the Plaza in the summer.
