Joe and I have very simple rules for sharing our home with you!

We are an honest and simple mid-30s couple living in Chicago. I am a doctoral student and teacher educator and Joe is a middle-school teacher. We are looking to homeshare for the first time summer of 2019, ideally for an extended period of time (4-6 weeks). We would be happy to share our bikes, cars (prius + old pickup truck), and all the comforts of our home with a family or couple looking to spend some time in Chicago. Ideally, this would include pet care for our small but mighty 17 year old cat, Huevos, and our 65 lb (30 kg) dog, Jedi. Our pets are very near and dear to our heart and Jedi requires 2-3 walks/playtime per day so if your perfect summer includes hanging out with a cool, energetic dog that loves to go running with you in an amazing city, then our place will work for you!

Please read prior to arrival:

- Kitchen -> feel free to use the microwave, fridge, and cooking supplies.

- Recycling -> Chicago does recycle, so we separate our recyclables from the regular trash. Upon arrival, we will show you where this is located.

- Gas Grill -> Feel free to use. As always, please clean up when finished using.

- Shower -> When turning the shower on, the water comes out 'rusty' at first, but clears up after a minute. This is due to our home being over 100 years old!

- Please respect our neighbors and us. We do not tolerate excessive drinking, drugs of any kind, and being extremely loud after 10 pm.

- Please clean up after yourselves. If you use dishes, wash them. If you take a shower, please hang up wet towels in the bathroom. If you have garbage or recycling, put it in the appropriate container. etc.

- Please always ensure that the doors are locked when entering and leaving the house for your safety.

- Please let us know your arrival and departure times so we can plan accordingly.

- Please leave bathroom door closed. Our dog, Jedi, really enjoys drinking from the toilet bowl, which we’d like to prevent.
