• Delightful, homely and immaculately clean!

  We loved our time in Doreen and Peter’s delightful and immaculate house. Everything about the house is well thought through. Sitting on the deck in the evening sun was a particular pleasure! Taucha is quiet but with some good facilities (eg open air swimming pool) and gives ready access to Leipzig by train and car. Doreen was very helpful with advice and support.

• Relaxing place to stay

  Peter and Doreen have a wonderful relaxing and quiet house, but more important: a wonderful garden and terrace to enjoy! In Taucha there is not that much to do, but Leipzig and Dresden are really nearby and easy to reach by train or tram. We've had a great holiday and we hope this family will have many more.

  Oh what a great exchange. The house is simply great, and huge, and with a big garden. As always... to short an exchange! We moved around a bit (Weimar, Dessau, Dresden, Erfurt, Lutherstadt...) and it was so nice to enjoy such visits with 20 degrees. And then, come back to a place where we could relax all together. 10 days passed by too quickly. So thanks again for this exchange, we all hope to be able to meet in the future. Take care all of you.

  We had a wonderful week staying in Doreen and family’s charming house In Taucha near Leipzig. Doreen was great at communicating and provided so much information about things to do in the area. We were made to feel very welcome with a generous hamper of food, wine and treats, and instructions for using household appliances. During our stay the weather was extremely hot, so spent most of our time visiting different lakes in the area around Taucha and Leipzig, as recommended by Doreen. We also visited Leipzig a few times and enjoyed the Excellent Italian food at Romeo and Juliet in Taucha. The garden is large with a pond, rabbits and fruit trees and the house is situated in quiet suburban area with friendly and helpful neighbours.

  Das Haus ist neu, freundlich und sauber. Die Schlüsselübergabe hat geklappt und wir fühlten uns gleich zuhause. Mit dem Auto 10-15 Minuten in die City von Leipzig. Für uns hat das gut gepasst. Schön war's. Udo und Uta
