L'appartement de Patrick, confortable et bien aménagé avec une vue dégagée sue la Loire, est idéalement situé pour les visites à pied du centre historique de Saumur. Nous avons parcouru de nombreux sites touristiques dans la région, tels que les villages troglodytiques, les caves à vin, le Cadre Noir, les châteaux de Brézé et de Montreuil-Bellay qui valent vraiment le détour.Une région magnifique et un accueil chaleureux de Patrick et Nicole, des hôtes très sympathiques. Voyage enchanteur à Saumur...
Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour à Saumur. Aussi bien dans votre joli petit nid (agréablement chauffé pour un repos bien mérité après de belles et longues randonnées dans la région et le long de la Loire - toujours aussi majestueuse et surprenante) que dans la ville en soi (en effet, tout est là pour les gourmands: restaurants, traiteurs, boulangeries, marché du samedi). Merci aussi à la bien sympathique Karin pour la remise / reprise des clefs.
Lovely apartment in a charming town
I enjoyed Patrick's antique-filled apartment right in the centre of the old town, only minutes away from the river. The apartment is very comfortable and had a great range of cafes and restaurants on the doorstep....too tempting for a foodie like me! Saumur is a lovely town and there are lots of amazing places to visit a short way away. Patrick has a great selection of information on the area to help you to decide where to go. Thank you for a super exchange Patrick!
Great location.
We had a really good time in Saumur. The traditional apartment is spacious and comfortable. We were met by neighbour Karine who also does some cleaning. Shops, supermarket, Saturday market, cafes, bars, buses are almost on the doorstep. The castle, wineries, railway can all be reached on foot. There is so much to do in the town and surrounding area. The one disadvantage is the 67 stairs up to the 2nd floor, but this did not at all detract from an excellent holiday. Thank you Patrick for proposing the exchange.
Saumur, what a wonderfull place.
We had a wonderfull time in the middle of the centre. We make some nice walks and make a fabulous tour with electric bikes! We also taste some good wine from the region! Thank you Patrick and Nicole!
Patrick's apartment has the charm of a beautiful nineteenth century house and it has been very convenient to be right in the center of this beautiful city. The noise of night life was not a problem. And the Loire by bike, as we did it, using the train from the nearby station, is fantastic! Patrick and Nicole are wonderful people, respectful, accommodating, they helped us with good advice and kept our house and plants in perfect order.
Situation parfaite au centre de Saumur
Nous avons aimé l'atmosphère exotique et très 19eme siècle se dégageant du vaste et confortable appartement de Patrick. Situé en plein centre de la ville historique de Saumur, le long des voies piétonnes, avec une vue dégagée sur la place du théâtre, sa situation est idéale pour parcourir les ruelles pittoresques, faire les courses, choisir un restaurant, profiter de l'animation ou rejoindre à pied les principaux sites touristiques. L'isolation phonique est excellente et, malgré l'animation ambiante, nous avons toujours pu dormir dans le calme. Nous avons énormément apprécié la région, riche en sites historiques variés. les bords de Loire, le vin local, les carrières de falun et les sites troglodytes ont été d'agréables découvertes. Un grand merci, Patrick, pour cette délicieuse semaine passée dans le Maine et Loire.
Nous avons passé un délicieux séjour dans le bel appartement de Patrick ,bien situé au centre de Saumur , à 100 m des bords de Loire. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la décoration ,et la présence de masque ,tissus ,sculptures....d'Afrique et d'ailleurs. Région riche en châteaux et lieux à découvrir ,sans oublier de flâner sur ces magnifiques bords de Loire ,et déguster de bons vins tout en dégustant une friture de Loire. Merci encore
Fantastic exchange - great location
We really enjoyed every moment in this great apartment, centrally located in the heart of Saumur. Great location for discovering Brittany

Brittany France was so much more than we expected
Our home exchange with Patrick and Edith was a delight. We loved their cottage home and its location near Pontrieux, France and would encourage anyone to visit this area and exchange with them. Planning our trip and exchanging information was easy. They gave us great suggestions on things to do and see and made us feel welcome to their home and with the use of their vehicle.
A great home exchange in a most beautiful part of
Patrick and Edith, Steve and I had a wonderful time on our home exchange with you. Your cozy house was the perfect spot from which to explore Brittany. We especially enjoyed the sunroom and the picnic area in your back garden. And we loved your beautiful village of Pontrieux. We stopped off in the bakery on our last day to say goodbye to Madame. It was great being back in Brittany, and we found so many fun and interesting things to do. …. The only problem was that we STILL did not manage to do everything we wanted to while we were there. Special thanks to Mickey and Janet for getting us to and from the train station and having us for tea. And when we got back to Chapel Hill, all of our friends told us what a great time they had with you while you were here. Here’s wishing you many more happy home exchanges and travel adventures!
