Wir haben uns in dem Haus von Els und ihrer Familie sehr wohlgefühlt. Trotz der sehr warmen, sommerlichen Temperaturen war es im Haus schön kühl. Alles war gut vorbereitet. Vielleicht sollte man für zukünftige Gäste erwähnen, dass es relativ steile Treppen nach oben gibt. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage in Brüssel!

a lovely time in Jette (Brussels)
The house of Els and Stijn is a warm home and an ideal place to discover Brussels. We loved their library, the wooden floors and doors, the high ceilings, the vintage touches everywhere in the house, their beautiful garden, the good coffee from the bodum, the interesting books and magazines. The bizarre weather made our five-day unpredictable. Our plans changed with every snow shower. But still we had a great time: we explored the nearby parks and saw a different side of Brussels, we discoverd the neighborhood and realized that Jette was an unexplored pearl to us. An interesting mix of diversity between the exotic energy of Marie-Christinastraat and the Brussels fries of frituur Spiegel. Ingredients that you also found on the Sunday market. But Brussels is more than Jette, right? So we intensely enjoyed the Van Buuren house and Villa Empain, we cycled along Saint-Gilles and Molenbeek and we took a tram towards the Vlaamse Steenweg. Yes, the weather was not always our comrade. But we enjoyed the friendship from Brussels and his or her Brussels residents. 5 days was too short, Brussels was too big. Stijn and Els, thank you again for your hospitality. What a privilege it was to be able to feel at home in Jette in your house for 5 days. Saskia, Johan, Nina and Margot
Huge house with beautiful garden in Brussels
Els and her family are very easy going and relaxed exchange partners. Their house is perfect to discover Brussels, because from there you can reach each part of the city easy by Bus, Tram or Metro.

Els and her family live in a beautifully renovated typical Bruxelles' house with an amazing garden - a perfect base for discovering Bruxelles and coming back to a cozy and relaxing home afterwards. The Jette neighborhood is vibrant and has many parks and walks to offer. At the same time, the tram to Bruxelles city or other destinations is literally down the road. We enjoyed the beautiful house and the family's great hospitality a lot and loved exploring Bruxelles with its many options.
Beautiful and big house, nice to live, with a very nice garden. Very welcoming and organized family, a lot of practical information about Brussels and also about the region. From there we visited Brussels and Belgium, Ghent, Bruges, Ostend. So enriching vacation.
We have had a very good time in the house of Els and her family. Especially we liked sitting at the table in the kitchen, drinking tea or belgium beer and watching the cherry tree in the small and beautiful garden. Brussels is a very interresting city with a lot of things to do. The city center and the european parliament is easily to reach with public transport. The Atomium is 10 minutes by foot. Els gave us many special tips like the vintage shops and the fleemarkets. We visited also the city of wonderful Gent, that is worth a vistit. Thanks a lot for the possibility to live one week in your friendly house.
Fijn huis en fijne tijd in Brussel
Jullie hebben een fijn huis en erg leuk om na zo'n 10 jaar nog een keer bij jullie terug te mogen komen! Voelt heel vertrouwd. Met de tram konden we zo naar het centrum van Brussel. We hebben ook jullie mooie wandeling vanaf jullie huis door de parken naar het Atomium gewandeld. Dank jullie wel voor de gastvrijheid en het fijne contact.
Een 'groen lichtpuntje" in het bruisende Brussel
Wat hebben we fijne dagen gehad! Een heerlijke plek om op ontdekking te gaan in het bruisende Brussel waar ongelooflijk veel te zien is en met het Atomium op loopafstand. Ook Laken met het koninklijk paleis ligt op een steenworp afstand. We hebben genoten van jullie huis met prachtige tuin en van de rust die het ons bood na een drukke dag. Heel hartelijke dank voor deze fijne ruil en voor de mooie herinneringen die we mee naar huis nemen!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Bruxelles, la maison d'Els et Stejn était très agréable, très propre, nous avons eu la chance de les rencontrer, ce sont des gens tout à fait charmants et 100% fiables.
UNA AGRADABLE ESTANCIA EN BRUSELAS
La casa es acogedora, tiene un gran jardín. Su estructura es antigua, pero está reformada con criterios ecológicos. Está bien comunicada para ir al centro de Bruselas y para visitar otras ciudades de Bélgica (Gante, Brujas, Amberes). Está muy cerca de la casa donde vivió el pintor René Magritte, que se puede visitar. La familia Plessers es encantadora, simpática y muy educada.

Excellent urban transport, spacious house and magical garden, full of various types of berries., to try on the waffles (gaufres - at every corner of Brussels). Very close to Atomium.
Big house near centre of Brussels
We had a wonderfull time in Brussels. Thanks to Els and her family. The house was big; enough sleeping rooms for us and the garden is huge! We could sit there for hours. It very quiet and you can easily travel by tram to the city centre. Supermarket a few metres away and a better beershop to try all the Belgium beers. Thank you and if you like to visit Rotterdam again we can have another exchange! Mariette and Dirk
