What a great spot, just a ferry ride from wider Sydney, but feeling like so far away. We chose to use the local public transport - regular ferries to Cronulla for the train line into the city, and the school bus morning and afternoon. It was different and fun for us, added to seeing deer up close as we walked to the bus stop. Bob and Jan are very welcoming hosts, with a lovely home that was very relaxing and easy to just step right into for our exchange

Bob and Jan's home is beautifully located at the edge of a huge National Park just North of Port Hacking and is an easy and most enjoyable half hour ferry ride away from the bustling cosmopolitan environment of Cronulla and the excellent train service to all that Sydney has to offer, a trip that we did twice in our week at their home - we even were able to fit in a day's visit to the Blue Mountains - the best of both worlds! Their home is currently being renovated with the kitchen and outdoor areas already beautifully upgraded, and we found it to be extremely comfortable, clean and 'homey', with wonderful views, lush tropical trees and palms all around and the cacophony and colour of parrots and other birdlife everywhere! Truly a magic and memorable week's 'get-away' that we won't forget for a long time. John and Margriet Dickinson.
