What a pleasure to be in Kerikeri in such beautiful surroundings. Lorri and Chris have a home that has views over their extensive garden including a small Nikau grove and native trees. At night there were a myriad of stars and the crickets chirped. Kerikeri is central to New Zealand’s early missionary beginnings and, of course, the historic Treaty of Waitangi signings. We last visited in 1991 and it was great to reconnect with the past. Don’t forget a visit to Whangarei’s newly opened Hundertwasser centre – you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Lorri and Chris for the opportunity to stay in your comfortable home. It was difficult to leave.

We really enjoyed our stay, close to the town, walk to the local Saturday farmer's market, surrounded by numerous local producers of lovely fresh vegetables and fruit. Great day trips to out of the way beaches and relaxed picnics. Fantastic river walks. Would go to Kerikeri again as there is so much to do.

We were unable to go in March 2017 so will go at a later date.
