We are a 50+ couple, quiet, non-smoking, and respectful that sometimes travel individually.
Kathy is massage therapist.
Tom is a retired Technical Writer who is exploring new hobbies, such as flying light aircraft.
This year Tom will be traveling with his sister and her husband (both over 50 and retired).
Our dates are fixed, as we will be in Amsterdam following a 10-day family tour of the Czech Republic.
Tom has been to Amsterdam multiple times. His sister (Lorna) and husband (Craig) will be visiting for the first time.
Craig has difficulty walking, so nearby access to public transportation is important.
Our hobbies include skiing, and learning to fly airplanes.
Locations in cities and near public transit are preferred.
(We don't mind a little noise and energy.)
We have had successful multiple exchanges with others in Europe.

Our house is a second home, so a non-simultaneous exchange is easily accomplished. Remodeled in 2014, and ready for guests it includes towels and bedding. It is 88 sq m (~900 sq ft), 2br 1b, with laundry, gas fireplace, forced air heat, on-demand hot water, granite counter tops, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The couch folds out into a queen bed.
The house is walking distance to the Truckee River. The bicycle trail runs in front of the house. Bicycle rental available nearby. Bus service at the main street, a block away, and car rental is available at the casinos (book early).
Many places to visit, including:
Heavenly Valley (summer gondola) and Ski Sierra.
Entertainment at the casinos.
Hiking in all directions.
Paddle wheel boat rides.
Boat rental at Ski Run Marina.
Several beaches nearby.
Multiple golf courses.

Ympäristön kuvailu
Quiet mixed-use residential area with easy access and plenty of parking. On the bike trail and near the river. A miniature golf facility around the corner. A wide range of restaurants are walking distance. City bus service is available on the boulevard. During winter months, shuttle buses to Heavenly Valley, Ski Sierra, and Kirkwood Meadows are available. In the summer months, Heavenly Valley operates its gondola offering spectacular views of Lake Tahoe.
The casinos are about 2 miles away, including the new Hard Rock Casino.
Beaches are available in both directions.
At the end of Ski Run Boulevard and in Zephyr Cove large paddle-wheel boats offer tours across the lake.
Horseback riding is available in Zephyr Cove.
Multiple golf courses are available, including the famous Edgewood Golf Course.
A shuttle bus is available from the Reno airport to the casinos and taxis are plentiful and reliable.

Lake Tahoe is a resort area and as such it offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. It is a stunning 92 mile (150 kilometers) drive around the lake. There is a gondola at the casino core that can take you to the top of Heavenly Valley. And world-class entertainment available at the casinos.
