Come to wonderful southeastern Oklahoma and relax in our beautiful Red Cedar Log Home. It is a 1700 square foot log home that will sleep 8 and has 1200 square feet of porch and deck. It is surrounded by native pine trees and is only 3 miles to Broken Bow Lake.

Susan and I (Ray) live three hours from our log home in between Davis and Sulpur,OK near Lake Arbuckle (also a lovely place). We use the cabin every chance we get but most generally - it works out about once a month. We had a builder dry the cabin in for us, but we have done all the interior ourselves and quite proud of the work we did.

Ympäristön kuvailu

Murray Moose Lodge is the gateway to Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow Lake and the Kiamichi Mountains. We are located in Southeast Oklahoma.

Broken Bow Lake is located in one of the state's most beautiful settings. The 22-mile long lake (14,220 acres) lies in the Ouachita / Kiamichi Mountains in southeastern Oklahoma. It's crystal blue waters provide a variety of water recreation including scuba diving, skiing, and jet skiing. Broken Bow's deep and pristine waters provide one of the best year-round fishing spots in Oklahoma. It is home of the state large mouth bass record. Other fish species include sand bass, crappie and channel catfish.

The Upper Mountain Fork River feeds into Broken Bow Lake and and then a spill way let's cold water into the Lower Mountain Fork which is stocked with trout. The Mountain Fork is home for the state record Brown Trout. Both the Upper and Lower Mountain Fork is great for canoeing and kayaking. The river continues south to Beavers Bend State Park.

The scenic beauty of Beavers Bend and Hochatown State Park makes it one of Oklahoma's most popular areas. Guests traveling down the winding roads through forest of pine and hardwood trees will find adventure, beautiful scenery and plenty of activities inside the state park. Towering timbers, crystal clear waters and rugged terrain make this state park an outdoor lover's paradise.

There is an 18-hole Cedar Creek Golf course only minutes away from our cabin.

There are two million acres available through a Weyerhaeuser Land Permit for hunting, horseback riding or camping. The Ouchita National Forest offers plenty of trails for four-wheeling.

Other activities include tennis, volleyball, mini golf, train ride and the Forest Heritage Center.

Broken Bow is located only 30 miles from Arkansas and 45 miles from the Texas state line, and this is all within reasonable proximity to Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Texarkana.
