In the near neighborhood you will also find many small but very good restaurants, and as this zone is not the main tourist zone, these restaurants are mainly visited by local residents. In a few minutes walking distance you arrive at Bismarckplatz, where the pedestrian zone with many shops and restaurants starts. This pedestrian zone (Hauptstraße) is one of the largest in Europe, and you can find the big international stores as well as many small shops with special offers that you will only find in Heidelberg. If you should take a shuttle service from the airport: the shuttles stop right in front of our house.
