We are a family with one adult son (30 years old, living in Berlin), Damiaan is a self employed web designer and owner of web shop Dutch-Clogs.com. Anja is a yoga teacher. We have had already more than 25 exchanges (homelink.org and homeexchange.com) and are looking forward to exchange for summer vacations (June till September) and also to exchange for long weekends and mini breaks.

We live in a nice house next to an ecological park with small lakes. We travel with two persons, Damiaan is a web designer and owner of web shop Dutch-Clogs.com. Anja is yoga teacher. We have had more than 25 exchanges (HomeExchange and HomeLink) and are looking forward to exchange for summer vacations (June till September) and also to exchange for long weekends and mini breaks. Our son (30) lives in Berlin.
Amsterdam 1 1/4 hour drive
Rotterdam 1 hour drive
Belgium - Antwerp 1.15 hour drive
Germany - Gogh 0.45 hour drive
Our house is situated at the border of a city with 58.000 inhabitants. Next to our house is an ecological park with small lakes. From there you can walk through the fields. You can ride horse nearby and play golf. We think we have the best of two worlds: we have all the opportunities of a city on bike-distance (centre of the city is 5 minutes by bike), and the quietness of living near nature! A green environment, but several nice towns rather nearby.

For kids we have a XBOX 360 or Nintendo Gamecube.
Also board games, football, baseball, tennis and badminton rackets.
We also have table-tennis equipment outside.
And what about playing the electric piano?
We are Dutch so we also have 4 bicycles!

We live between the cities Nijmegen and 's Hertogenbosch.
Our house is situated at the border of a city with 58.000 inhabitants. Next to our house is an ecological park with small lakes. You can walk nice through the fields, ride horse nearby. We think we have the best of two worlds: we have all the opportunities of a city on bike-distance (centre of the city is 5 minutes by bike), and the quietness of living near nature! A green environment, but several nice towns rather nearby.
In the town: big indoor swimming pool, sports accommodation like golf, baseball, snooker and bowling. Several small and bigger recreation for children. A big and a small shopping center, train station on 10 minutes by bike.
Surroundings: riverside, woods, several medieval towns, nice bicycle possibilities with teagardens, beer brewery and show gardens, windmills and nice small shops.
Also a lot of water and possibilities for water sports and cross the rivers by small ferryboats, very nice is the Biesbosch.

For swimming facilities nearby is the Billy Bird park Hemelrijk (http://www.billybird.nl),
"Geffense Plas", the "Lithse Ham" and Maasbommel "Gouden Ham". Very nice is the Biesbosch.

On car/train distance: very nice amusement park “Efteling” in Kaatsheuvel, several zoo’s and musea, beautiful town ‘s-Hertogenbosch (with boat ride on medieval sewerage, also very nice for shopping) and Nijmegen (university city) and Arnhem (historical due to the war, fashion city, musea). In fact in Holland everything is rather nearby.

Our cars for exchange: Volkswagen and/or Daihatsu.
Airports: Eindhoven 50km, Weeze Germany 77km, Schiphol 105 km.
We have not very specific preferences and house rules except non smoking in the house please. We will discuss specific rules when we are in contact of an exchange.
