Home built in 2000 to traditional Mani tower house design. Peaceful, unspoilt location. The house has a flat roof with 360 degree views of olive groves, mountains and the sea. It is about 15 minutes walk downhill to the beautiful beaches, tavernas and coffee bars that are the sum of Stoupa's nightlife. Between the traditional fishing village of Agios Nicolaos and Kardimili( famed as the home of the late travel writer Patrick Leigh Fermor), Stoupa can also be used as a base for exploring the castles of Methoni, Navarino bay and Ancient Messina, thought by historians to be even bigger and more important a site than Ancient Olympia.
Stoupa has two main beaches, both family friendly, with a small number of beach activities. 90% of business is returning holidaymakers which gives some idea of the affection in which the resort is held.
Isolated from recent economic and other troubles, this is a bolt hole from the modern world and a truly idyllic spot.
