Enjoy your holidays in an unspoiled part of the Netherlands. From here you can explore everything the Netherlands has to offer: countryside, historic cities, the Wadden Islands and Amsterdam. We live in a hamlet 2 km. from Norg (pretty village), 12 km. from Assen (market-town) and 30 km. from Groningen (University-city). Amsterdam can be reached within 2 hrs. by car, or by train from Assen. Public transport at 5 min. walking distance. Our Saxon farmhouse is a listed building at the National Register of Historic Homes, is carefully restored, /very comfortable, spacious and has all modern conveniences. We have a Steinway, woodburner, AGA-cooker, KitchenAid, JURA-coffeemachine and high speed internet with WIFI. Several tracks, both walking and cycling, start at our doorstep. Our home is clean and tidy, but might not be suitable for people with pet-allergy for we have two dogs.
Petcare needed for our chickens, free range eggs in return ! Our dogs will be boarded elsewhere during home-exchange. Outdoors: big garden with hen house & stork nest, and a meadow with a small orchard.
Important note: we prefer to exchange with couples, and you will have the entire ground floor at your disposal: kitchen, living-room, dining-room, TV-room with extra folding out bed, masterbedroom ensuite. Our home is not suitable for families, so please do not contact us in case you want to bring children. Thank you!
