Suquamish is close to lots of outdoor activities like hiking (or snowshoeing!) in the Olympic National Park, beachcombing from our house, or beachcombing on the Pacific Ocean, kayaking, mountain biking, golfing, etc. If you visit in the winter time, enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, or world-class Nordic skiing within a few hours’ drive. We are also just a mile or two from Bainbridge Island, the birthplace of the popular sport of pickleball!
If you like site seeing and big-city activities, visit Seattle, home of Starbucks coffee, Boeing Aerospace, Microsoft, Amazon, as well as national sports teams, world-class art museums, and delicious Northwest seafood of course! Victoria, Whistler, and Vancouver (all in British Columbia, Canada) also make good overnight trips while you're in the area. Whether you love natural beauty like snow-capped mountains or ocean, or prefer the urban scene, it's all close by!
