Visit Box Canyon Falls and Park, walk the perimeter trail, take a mine tour, enjoy a trail ride on horseback, or rent a jeep for an off-road experience, and finish the day with a swim or soak at the hot springs in the historic mining town of Ouray just a fifteen minute drive away. In the summer there is easy access to a variety of hiking and biking terrain as well as the Ridgway State Park with its trails, beaches, and fantastic reservoir. Fall colors in this part to Colorado peak at the end of September and are especially breathtaking along the Million Dollar Highway, a scenic drive mentioned in the book "A Thousand Places to See Before You Die". Winter activities include snow shoeing, ice climbing, downhill, cross country, and back country skiing. No matter what the season, life is good in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
