From our cabin, it is a 5 minute walk to Dillon Beach, a beautiful white sand beach, on the Pacific Ocean, adjoining Tomales Bay. Dillon Beach is a great jogging beach, and a nice play area for children, with sand dunes bordering the beach, and shallow water for wading, although it is a cold water beach. Shelling can be good if you get out early. Dillon Beach has a local general store and the Coastal Kitchen restaurant, open Thursday through Sunday. Dillon Beach is close to a number of nice restaurants in nearby Bodega Bay, Point Reyes Station, Marshall and Tomales. A number of cheese factories open to the public are in the area. Movie Houses and many more nice restaurants are located a half hour drive away in the Cities of Petaluma and Sebastopol.
