The home was right next to a park with bike trails. It was easy to walk downtown for breakfast and for gelato after dinner. The kitchen had everything you'd need and great appliances. We are cyclists and met with the local cycle group and also found lots of routes to the beach and through wineries. The back yard has an extraordinary flower garden, full of wonderful smells. The Browers went over and above in leaving us wine, flowers on the table, and a refrigerator full of great Trader Joe's basics. The information booklet was so very complete. We loved our time there.

Bend Oregon is in Central Oregon's High Desert. We are 3 hours from Portland, 3 hours from Salem, and 30 minutes to Mt. Bachelor ski resort. Bend is a city of about 100,000 people.

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood in the Southeast section of Bend. There is so much to choose from in the area - between hiking, biking, floating or kayaking the rivers, fishing, beer pubs, food trucks, shopping or spending time just relaxing. Numerous public golf courses are within minutes of the house.

We love to cook and the kitchen is the center of our home. King-size bed is in the master bedroom and a queen-sized bed in 2nd bedroom. Third bedroom has been converted to office with computer and DSL internet connection with guest access. Queen size airbed can be set up in office if needed. HD TV with DirecTV.

Quiet neighborhood with easy access to activities. The city of Bend has over 60 public parks. Some with hiking trails that are near creeks or rivers. Short drive to the Deschutes, Metolius, or Crooked Rivers. Close to public golf courses. 30 minute drive to Sunriver Resort. Smith Rock State Park with the Crooked River running through is incredible for hiking. The beautiful town of Sisters is 30 minutes away. A step back in time to western days. The nearest airport is Redmond.

Deschutes River Walk is a trail next to the Deschutes River that can be hiked for miles. Smith Rock State Park is an incredible formation next to Crooked River with hiking trails. Mr. Bachelor is great for skiing. Lava Lands Visitor Center volcanic landscape. The Bend area has hundred of miles on trails for hiking or mountain biking.
