In the last couple of years the area of Vasastan has undergone a transformation from a nice but somewhat sleepy residential area to a haven for successful young professionals, who appreciate it's understated class and effortless charm. The neigbhourhood is attracting renowned fashion designers and labels, small boutiques and restaurants are springing up, as well as several small, independent theaters and art galleries. Traditionally, The south of Stockholm might have been the cultural centre of the city, but Vasastan is clearly the new contender for the title. A lot is happening but the neighbourhood still retain it's relaxed atmosphere and air of calm. Transportation is excellent with a bus stop right outside the building, subway 5 min walk, commuter train 3 min walk.
