Warwick is a delightful market town with a number of medieval buildings. There is a great range of independant shops, cafes, pubs and restuarants. The entrance to the world famous Warwick Castle is 5 minutes away and the beautiful medieval Lord Leycester Hospital is at the end of the road. Warwick is situated in the centre of England and is a great base for exploring. Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford on Avon, is 15 minutes drive away and the Cotswolds, Bath and Oxford are all within easy driving distance. Warwick is set in lovely countryside and there are nice walks along the Avon river and the Grand Union canal. St Nicholas Park is a lovely public park with a small funfare (summer only), paddling pool (summer only), crazy golf and a playground. London is only 1.5 hours by train and the train station is a 5 minute drive from the house. The bus statio is two minutes walk with buses to Leamington Spa, Stratford, Coventry and Birmingam. Bicester Village and Solihull are in easy reach and offer fabulous shopping opportunities. Alton Towers and Drayton Manor, two of the premier theme parks in the UK, are both a 40mins drive.
