Wallingford is a beautiful, ancient market town on the River Thames with easy bus links to Oxford, Henley-on-Thames, Reading, Windsor and the Cotswolds. London and Heathrow airport are an hours journey away. Our home is in a quiet cul-de-sac close to the market square with its many interesting shops and cafes. Beautiful walks along the River Thames are just 5 minutes away with boats available for hire. There are regular markets every week, a popular local theatre and regular small festivals. There is an open-air lido between May and September. Wallingford is the birth place of Agatha Christie and there are specialist tours as the town is often used as a location for filming such as Midsomer Murders.

There are great train connections from nearby Cholsey and Didcot Parkway stations, which are accessible by bus from Wallingford. London Paddington can be reached within 40 minutes on the fast connection from Didcot, as well as places like Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham to the west.
