Having a prepared car when arriving at Manchester Airport was so comfortable. The house is so spacious and cozy with its multiple rooms, table tennis table and many instruments. Additionally, Sarah prepared a delicious self-cooked meal, left a homemade chutney, local drinks and had brought loads of gluten-free products for us when we arrived late at night. Furthermore, the gigantic garden next to the house offered raspberries, currents, onions and much more for us to use. Also, feeding the chickens and getting rewarded with multiple eggs was super fun. The gorgeous friends Sue and John often came around to check for the ponies and we always enjoyed having a lovely chat with them, including gaining some insider-information on what to do nearby. During our time in England, we visited the magnificent town of York with its breath-taking cathedral, the lifeful Manchester, the cute cities of Bakewell and Buxton. Furthermore, we enjoyed the delicious Bakewell Pudding at a tearoom, the ice-cream of the nearby Molly-farm and even got the opportunity to have a drink and dinner at a traditional English Pub at High-Bradfield including a nice view. Also, we did lots of hiking in the beautiful Peak District which is located right next-door. Even a trip to Hardwicks Hall, Chatsworth House and Park allowed us a glance into English history. As we returned home, we found our house tidy and clean. Also, thanks to Sarah and Mark for the bottles of wine they gifted us. Looking back, we can say, that we truly enjoyed our trip to Townfield Head Farm even though the weather was typically British (rainy and cloudy ?). A special thank you again to the hosts Mark and Sarah for this unforgivable vacation!
