Quiet residential area just 10 mins walk to Canterbury city centre, overlooking large playing field (Beverley Meadows). Train station is 5 mins walk, it is about 51 minutes to London by train. The permanent famers' market, The Goods' Shed, is housed beside the train station (5 mins walk), with cafes, bar and restaurant.

Whitstable 15 minutes drive (pebble beach), sandy beaches are 25-45 minutes drive (Minnis Bay, Margate, Broadstairs). Turner Contemporary (Margate) 45 mins drive, Dover Castle 40 mins drive, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens 50 mins drive, Channel tunnel 35 mins drive.

The Crab and Winkle cycle and footpath are nearby (following the route of the old Canterbury to Whitstable train line), plus nice riverside walk to Chartham, or up the nearby Keynes footpath to the University of Kent campus.
