Our neighbors are very gentle and helpful. Many of them have children. There are also a Waldorf school and a Waldorf kindergarten in the neighbourhood. We live at the edge of our village, you just have to cross the street for walking or cycling through the apple orchards, through small woods. You can visit a Demeter farm with a small petting zoo. It takes you 15-20 minutes by bike to the public bathing beach Bodman (Bodensee), or to the promenade Ludwigshafen (Bodensee). Wahlwies has a railway station, so you can visit Radolfzell (10min) or Konstanz (30min) without using the car. Our village is perfect for children, you don’t have to worry about them playing outside. There is a Dorfladen (Cornershop) incl. bakery five minutes from our house. The next larger stores are about 3km away. In addition to our garden with terrace we rent a larger garden opposite the house, where we’re trying to cultivate some vegetables. By bike and on foot (but also by car) Wahlwies is perfectly situated.
