Vi er en familie på tre (sønn på 12 år) som liker å utforske nye steder, treffe nye mennesker - og vi har bodd i flere land og steder. Vi snakker flere språk flytende og kan tilby en stor bolig med 7-8 sengeplasser, 3 bad og flere stuer/ oppholdsrom. Boligen har også en sokkelleilighet som pt er utleid til en britisk oljearbeider. Resten av boligen er på c. 330 m2 og det er stor garasje og fin hage å hygge seg med.

We offer a unique villa in the most prestiguous area of Stavanger - a swizz jugend timber house over four levels built in 1900. It has a long history and much of the old details are intakt. A section of the ground level floor is currently rented for a UK citizen - a very quiet engineer - using a separate entrance. There are more than 20 rooms at your disposal, where 1st floor has ceiling height of 3.4 m with chandeliers, a tiled oven (kakkelovn) from 1880, a modern fireplace, large dining room, and spacious living room, TV room/library, a home cinema, 3 bathrooms plus guest toilet, a nice kitchen with dining table, several large bedrooms, master bedroom with en suite bathroom, balcony and walk-in closet. Large garage and spacious garden with garden furniture. Very quiet area with open spaces around. 15 minutes stroll to city center, and 100 m from several buses incl. airport shuttle bus. Ledaal, Breidablikk and Holmeegens museums are all within 500 m. Bicycles are available.

Ou neighbourhood in Eiganes has very beautiful villas from early 1900, a few older, and the properties are all very well looked after. There is no traffic to speak of, but a local bus passes 50 m away. We are less than 500 m from the famous Ledaal and Breidablikk properties, and 50 m from the new Holmeegenes museum (across the road from us). Google those.. We are close to popular parks such as Mosvatnet and Våland, and the walk to downtown is 15 minutes, or five minutes by cycle. Gamlingen public swimming pools are by Mosvatnet.
Three grocery stores are within easy walk, one of which is open also Sundays. Additionally you will find bakeries and cafes, plus a 2 pizza places and a thai takeaway nearby.
By cycle there are many options, including Ullandhaug with the Iron farms, and Hafrsfjord with the Three Swords. Stavanger Golf Club is 5 minutes away by car.
300 m away you will find a public tennis field, and 400 m there is athletic and football facilities for various training. We can offer tennis rackets, football etc. for guests to borrow.
There is a playground for children just across the road from us.
Kongeparken amusement park is a 20 minutes drive away, and the sandy beaches of Sola 15 minutes away.

Stavanger Stadium - arena for athletics and also with football fields and astroturf running track - is 500 m away.
Nye Gamlingen - outdoor heated swimming pools are c. 1 km away (other side of Mosvatnet lake).
Våland tower - great viewpoint for Stavanger and the fjords/ inland - is 1 km away.
Nearest cafe/ restaurant is Matmagasinet c. 700 m away.

We prefer orderly families/ couples without pets - and smoking is not allowed indoors. We want to find our home in the same state you would like to find your own. We have many antiques and fragile items, some of which will be put away if smaller children arrive. Please follow instruction book wrt waste disposal, use of alarm and coded front door, correct use of various machines for washing, cooking, coffee etc. We may ask you to place waste disposal container(s) at house corner if collection day is during your stay. Please pick up any garbage and belongings from garden and keep all doors locked when you are away from the house.
