We spend a lot of time enjoying activities on our land. We ski, hike, bike, horseback ride, dirt bike, all on our own property. But I do love to head into Bragg Creek for a coffee and shopping or a nice evening walk with dinner at the Italian Farmhouse. We are happy to help connect you with attractions that suite your needs. We are also only a 30 min drive into the city. Calgary has many beautiful areas, restaurants, museums and is well known for the Calgary Stampede (Rodeo).
You cannot miss a trip to Banff or Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. Wether you ski, hike, skate, shop or just like to eat - it is an absolute must see. The views, the mountains and the crystal blue lakes are stunning. You can skate on Lake Louise, ski the mountain or visit the ice sculptures in the winter. Or hike to the tea house at Lake Louise in the summer (just don't forget to take cash- no credit or debit machine at the tea house).
We also enjoy heading into Black Diamond. Its a quaint small town 30 min drive with lots to do. My kids love to swim at the outdoor pool, bike or walk the friendship trail, swim in the river, get ice cream from Marv's Diner. Also, they have a first class golf course called the Turner Valley Golf Course. This town has many great restaurants, bakeries, artist and shops. The Bar U Ranch- 10 min from Black Diamond it a Historic Cowboy Ranch that brought the Percheron Horses to Canada. Its a real experience, you get to practice your cowboy skills and learn the old ranching ways. Its a true Alberta Experience!
