We were so fortunate to have our first exchange in Leiden! Hetty and family sure know how to welcome their guests, being seasoned exchangers. Approximately a one hour train ride from the airport and short walk 15 minute to their lovely renovated home. Waiting for us was a spectacular vase filled with lovely tulips in the dining room and the fridge was stocked with various goodies. We felt so comfortable and at home in Leiden ...a truly wonderful experience. The backyard is well landscaped and very nice to relax in after a day of sight seeing. We would be happy to return. It was great to meet Hetty and family - they were very easy going. Would highly recommend this exchange.

We hebben erg genoten van jullie zeer ruime en fijne huis. Heerlijk om in de lichte grote woonkeuken met uitzicht op de tuin de rust te vinden. En binnen een paar minuten ben je op de fiets in de Leidense binnenstad met al haar mooie musea, de gezellige markt en grachten. Het museum voor Volkenkunde en het Syboldhuis waren mijn favoriet, voor de kinderen was Corpus het hoogtepunt van deze heerlijke dagen. Dank voor jullie gastvrij onthaal, de tips en leuk dat we elkaar nog even gezien en gesproken hebben. Wellicht tot een volgende keer, we zijn nog lang niet uitgeken op Leiden! I'm sorry I waited so long to write this. We had a wonderful time in your home, in your city and in your country. Your lovely home made it possible for us to travel around a bit and still have a very comfortable place to come back to at the end of a day. Thank you, Sunnie + Larry
