I am a UK citizen but my mother is Spanish and I was baptized many years ago just a couple hundred meters from our home. What's most important for you to know is that my partner and I are open to offers from around the world. We would prefer a one-to-three month exchange.

Our house offers some of the most spectacular views in Europe. From the balconies on our top floor, to the large terrace on our home’s middle floor, to the gardens that extend from our lowest floor, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Tajo (or gorge) that begins in our backyard), the Guadalevín River at the bottom of the Tajo, the Puente Nuevo (the so-called ‘new bridge’ which is centuries old), the Castle of the Moorish King, the Church of the Holy Spirit (which was a mosque for more centuries than it has been a church) as well as a panoramic view of the mountains that surround Ronda.
When the sun is sinking beneath the Puente Nuevo and the air has become cool, we greatly enjoy sitting on our terrace, looking down into the gorge below us and then looking up at the migratory birds flying over the Tajo and then watching the tourists from all over the world crossing the bridge and stopping to take pictures of what they see, including our house. We feel privileged to have a home where we do. We love our dream-like environment with such tranquility and such a feeling of becoming one with nature.
There is, of course, a lot more to do than just looking at the view. You can stroll through twisting ancient streets in the ancient Arab medina. Or you can walk to the Alameda for a different set of breathtaking views. Or you can visit the many museums and ancient homes which are open to the public in Ronda. You can relax in a renown spa next to our town’s ancient Arab baths. If you are interested in human anthropology, you can explore the Cueva de la Pileta, one of Europe’s most extensive archeological sites for tracing the physical and cultural evolution of modern homo sapiens. You can also visit the Roman amphitheater in the outskirts of our town. You can sample wine in Ronda's wine museum. There are art classes and language classes available throughout the year. You can hike or ride horses.
When you walk around our town, you’ll be walking in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway, Orson Wells, Rainer Maria Rilke, James Joyce, Jorge Luis Borges, not to mention Michelle Obama and former prime minister David Cameron. Here Ernest Hemingway gathered material for Death in the Afternoon and For Whom the Bell Tolls. Here Rilke overcame writer’s block to go on to become one of the greatest poets in 20th century European literature. The philospher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote that he stayed in a house on our street. No one knows which house he stayed in, but we’d like to think it was ours.
Though we’d recommend you spend most of your time here, Granada, Malaga, Seville, Cordoba, Madrid and Gibraltar are all only a short train ride away. With a fast train, you can even get to Barcelona in a few hours.

Our town has been renown for its beauty since the Phoenicians conquered it from the ancient Iberians in 400 B.C. The location of our house has been known for its spectacular views for almost as long.

One of us is a life long non-smoker who had three lung surgeries for cancer. As a result, we do not want any smoking in our home. Moreover, we cannot exchange with people who smoke. Our house is not suitable for pets
