We live in a modern converted traditional Victorian cottage, 100yds from a sandy beach. It is in the Edinburgh suburb of Portobello, family friendly, with local shops, swimming pool, sailing club etc. It also has great links to Edinburgh city with art galleries, shops, theatres - everything a capital city has to offer. We have ttwo double bedrooms and a study with a soda bed so can sleep 5/6, a large open-plan kitchen, dining-room, family room, a sitting room and two bathrooms.
From our house you can easily explore the rest of Scotland, highlands and lowlands.
We have a large garden.

Ympäristön kuvailu
Portobello is Edinburgh's seaside - a short bus ride from town, but with the beach, attractions (like sailing, swimming) and lots of local shops and restaurants. Its a great place to be, with plenty of walking round the neighborhood, but easy access to both town and countryside.
During the Christmas and New Year there are lovely local decorated independent shops and many activities.
There are lovely restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

You can walk across the road to the beach. The local area includes shops, restaurants, cafe's and a great community. Its a lovely place for a holiday with Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland nearby. Trains to London take 5 hours.
During Christmas and New Year Edinburgh hosts a german market, an ice rink, a fairground, and many festive activities including concerts and ceilidhs.
