If you're travelling to Melbourne with a family or a bigger group, our spacious, two-story home might be just what you're looking for. It features 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a typical Californian Bungalow frontage and a modern extension at the back.

Our house has a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area that looks out over the back deck and garden (which is still a work-in-progress, but features a fabulous cubby house with a slide and a swing set). There is also a second sitting room with a huge bookshelf, a piano and a big toy cupboard - and an office.

Downstairs are three bedrooms: a queen size bedroom with a lovely bay window and two big children's bedrooms (one with two small beds, one with a cot). There is also a family bathroom with a separate toilet and a laundry.

Upstairs are two huge queen-sized bedrooms with cathedral ceilings air conditioning, a large bathroom and a walk-in-wardrobe. These bedrooms are the nicest of the lot and are perfect for anyone who wants to get away from noisy children!

With three small people, we have lots of indoor and outdoor toys, a kids' craft table, more books than you can poke a stick at, kids bicycles and scooters, a highchair, kids beds and a cot. We also have bikes for adults, which you are welcome to use, as well as a bike trailer that carries two smaller children. If we're out of the country, our family car can be made available on request.

Situated in a quiet residential street with lots of lovely neighbours, our house is just a five-minute walk from our local shopping strip, excellent cafes, restaurants, shops and independent grocery stores. You can get to the nearest train station by foot in 10 minutes where regular trains take you to the centre of Melbourne in about 15 minutes.
