Our apartment is in South Perth and is 18 years old on the 3rd floor with a lift. It is light and airy and fully air conditioned. There is a spacious balcony with views to the Swan River and across to Perth city, quite spectacular at night with the city lights. There are walkways/cycleways along the river and past numerous lakes with abundant birdlife. In fact it is in walking distance to the city, or to numerous cafes/restaurants in South Perth, or a walk to the ferry which takes you to the heart of Perth. It is only 15 minutes by bus or car to the city with the bus stop immediately outside the complex. There is a sauna, swimming pool and gymnasium in the complex. The complex is secure with swipe card admission. Perth is a delightful city set on the banks of the Swan River in the state of Western Australia. It has easy access to the ocean and beaches only 14 km away. Fremantle, an historic port city can be accessed by river or a drive of some 15 km. The airport is a 20 minute drive away.
Perth as a capital city has everything to offer. Recently Perth made it to the New York Times list of the top 52 places to travel in 2019. There are so many natural advantages with almost year-round sun, happy friendly people and white sandy beaches. Qantas now has nonstop flights to and from London.
There are wineries on the doorstep in the Swan Valley and it is only a 3 hour drive south to the beautiful Margaret River region where there are more wineries and surf breaks or north to beautiful beaches. The South West region has magnificent Karri and Jarrah forests. The Mediterranean climate here facilitates out door living and Perth has everything to offer for that lifestyle. One can sit by the river into late afternoon or attend the many outdoor cinemas, concerts or other cultural activities. We feel everyone would love Perth.
