Our home is situated in a village 15minutes south of the regional City of Ballarat, Central Victoria. Melbourne is less than 2 hours by car or via frequent train service from Ballarat or Wendouree. Ballarat is a major regional centre with heritage buildings , gardens and museums such as Sovereign Hill and the Eureka Centre and has a strong pastoral and goldrush history. It is well known for its cultural events and music and arts life.
The Grampians National Park with beautiful mountain bushwalks, waterfalls and outdoor sports and the Surf Coast and Great Ocean Road are all within 1.5-2 hours drive. The Ballarat-Skipton Railtrail is just behind our house for biking and walking with local village cafes providing a snack along the way.
