• Comfortable and spacious accommodation

  Situated on the outskirts of Southport this modernised and updated apartment in a former Edwardian mansion has everything you could wish for. Shops, interesting days out and exploring the surrounding environs including the awesome daily flight of 1000s of Pink Footed geese made this a most memorable house exchange. David and Val were very welcoming with their thoughtfulness’s and careful information details. Most enjoyable.

  We had a very relaxing stay in Dave and Val's apartment. A highlight was being able to lie in bed and watch the reflection of the birds in the garden. A very good tip for the Food and Drink Festival which was a great introduction to Southport. We were hoping to try the beach at Formby but discovered that parking was £7.50 (cash! Who has that these days??) but discovered another great bar instead - Emily's (?). Went into Manchester and enjoyed The Lowry on one of the days. Many thanks for the exchange.

  A wonderful modern quiet apartment with a kitchen 'to die for' …and easy to use. We felt totally at home and settled in quickly ..enjoying the morning sunshine and the birds at the feeders. We ate dinner on the tiny secluded patio as weather permitted. Dave and Val were very kind and generous with their time. Thank you both again! Southport (founded in the late 18th C) is a delightful seaside town with an historic pier and tremendous choice of restaurants and coffee shops. Well known for its golfing tradition …(I think there are over 10 courses in the area) …so a Mecca for golfers! And birders …as area equally well known for its nearby water bird sanctuary (RSPB) which has hides for easy viewing. Easy access to Liverpool by bus and train, with bus stops near the apartment. Thanks Dave and Val for a great visit.

  A lovely spacious apartment in a wonderful building in delightful well-kept grounds. Walking distance from the Promenade and town centre and ideally situated for exploring North West England

  We had a most enjoyable exchange with Dave and Val in their very spacious, modern and comfortable apartment. The little outdoor sunny sitting area was a bonus. It is situated in a very nice and safe area within easy walking distance of Southport centre, walks by the shore and what looked like good cycle routes. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and Dave and Val made us feel very welcome. Dave even arranged for my husband to chum up with his friends for a couple of rounds of golf. Liverpool, Birkdale, Formby, Ainsdale and Lytham St Annes are all within easy travelling distance. Thank you Dave and Val for a great time.
