• A lovely house near the sea

  We spent a nice time in spring, in the lovely house of Luc and Nicole in Portiragnes. A quiet place near the sea. We had good time walking or cycling all along the "Canal du Midi" and the cycle tracks. Very peaceful in the evening on the sunny terrace!

  Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Nicole et Luc. Nous avons pu profiter de la plage et surtout du restaurant 'Les voiles', qui propose du poissons frais et varié tous les jours. La maison est bien située, proche de la plage, facilement joignable en vélo (gentiment mis à disposition par Nicole et Luc). Un seul bémol : le bruit de la pompe de la piscine qui fonctionne continuellement 24/24H. Si on a l'habitude de dormir avec la fenêtre ouverte, mieux vaut se prémunir d'une protection auditive type boules Quies!

  We spent a beautiful quiet off-season spring time in Nicole's and Luc's holiday home in Portiragne. Though we wanted to look around so much, we became more lazy every day . Top was the morning bakery, which came by car and brought fresh bread and Croisson. Another thing we never missed was the evening walk along the sea to the beach bar. With the oysters and regional Picpoule white wine we let the sun go down. As ambitious walkers and users of public traffic we managed to walk to the winery and restaurant in the close by Portiragne village and come back by bus. Two times we also managed to visit by bus the old town of Beziers. We looked around in every corner of this little town and enjoyed their effort to bring it back to the old beauty.
