  • Lovely house and beautiful location

We have just returned form a wonderful week in Wales, staying in Lindsay and Malcolm's house. The area is stunning and there was so much to go and see, we barely made a dent in the week we were there. What made the exchange extra special was the good communication in the run up to the exchange (over the last year) and the lovely welcome we had. Lindsay and Malcolm were so thoughtful and we were made to feel very at home. Their home is beautiful, full of interest and equipped with everything we needed and more. A lovely oasis in the countryside while being close to lots of amenities. Our house was looked after splendidly and we even came home to our tea cooked for us! A really lovely exchange, thank you very much xx.

  • We spent two and a half wonderful weeks in Lindsay and Malcolm's home: the house and garden are beautiful, everything was perfectly organised, they left us many welcoming gifts, The area itself is perfect : you have the sea 10 minutes away, the mountains 20 minutes away - and the famous Mount Snowdon - and it is also very close to Chester and Liverpool if you fancy a visit to a museum or two. We like hiking so we were completely satisfied . We are also museum buffs and Liverpool has much to offer . The best exchange ever !

  • Superbe maison au Nord du Pays de Galles

Maison très agréable dans un espace verdoyant et typique à proximité de la mer et du parc de Snowdonia. Parfait pour le repos et les ballades !! Hotes accueillants et discrets

  • A return visit to this outstanding home

We had such a fabulous time in 2017, we couldn't wait to come back in 2018. Malcolm & Lindsay's home was even more comfortable than we remembered. This time we made it for a day trip to Caernarfon (a truly spectacular historic spot, with an amazing castle); Portmerion; a fabulous time at Plas Newydd; and a really exciting speedboat trip along the Menai Straights. Malcolm & Lindsay are truly lovely people, who left the warmest and most generous of welcomes for us in Wales, and a fridge full in our home for our return. We can't recommend this lovely spot highly enough. A beautiful part of the country that has something for everyone.

  • A welcoming home in an idyllic rural setting

Lindsay and Malcom made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. We had piles of fluffy towels, comfortable beds and even towelling robes left for our use, not to mention a host of local goodies in the fridge. My 90 year old father accompanied us on this exchange, our hosts gave us thoughtful reassurance in advance about the suitability of their home for an elderly visitor, and my father proclaimed this to be one of the best holidays he’s had for years. The location is very quiet and rural, but an easy drive to the coast and many places of interest. We know the area quite well as I have family living nearby, but we still had a list of new places to visit. This is our second exchange to N Wales within two years (both visits out of season) and we enjoyed lots of sunshine on both occasions.

  • North Wales is Brilliant

This was the first time that any of us had visited North Wales (said with shame); and we can't stop raving about how fantastic it was! Thank you Lindsey & Malcolm for our introduction. Lindsey & Malcolm's house is nothing short of lovely (the photos on their page really, really don't do it justice). We arrived to a fabulous welcome and settled in very quickly. Every aspect of their home was wonderful from the beds that were extremely comfortable to the lovely conservatory dinning table where we watched a host of birds in their lovely garden. We racked our brains but couldn't think of a single thing that was missing. Our children had signed up to do 5 days of surfing lessons at 'Surf Snowdonia', which was a big hit, but did mean that most days we needed to co-ordinate excursions around their lesson time. However, given the very convenient location of Lindsey & Malcolm's home that really wasn't a problem. Among our favourite outings were the spectacular Conwy Castle & City Walls; the very beautiful Bodnant Gardens; and the mind blowing Bronze Age mine at Great Orme. I think our biggest shock was how stunning the Anglesey coastline is - we described it as a quiet Cornwall. We were all very sad when it was time to pack up, and our kids were begging to come back (not a common thing for a pre-teen); how delighted were we when we got home to find our home had been cherished by this lovely couple who are keen to have a return visit next year ("yes please," shouted the family). Very much looking forward to working our way through the massive list of other attractions and locations that we never knew existed in this lovely corner of the country.

  • Great house in N. Wales

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Wales. Your house is beautiful and perfectly situated to discover Northern Wales. I loved the beach town of Llandudno and the hike over the peninsula. Snowdonia National Park is an easy day commute, even doing to hike to summit of Mount Snowdon. Your home is conveniently located to visit all coastal areas, Chester and into Liverpool. I mostly enjoyed meeting the two of you and I hope to see you in Florida soon.
